Colorado Renaissance Festival Celebrates 40 years in 2016!

If this years movie releases of Ratchet & Clank; Star Trek Beyond; Jason Bourne; Deadpool; Warcraft; X-Men Apocalypse; Suicide Squad; or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are any indication of America’s sci-fi, fantasy adventure obsession for kids of all ages – I think this year’s real life movie highlights at Denver Comic Con should put an exclamation on that statement.

Comic Con returns to Denver

It’s hard to believe that Denver Comic Con is only celebrating it’s 5th birthday. They are definitely BOSS in the playground sandbox. Hosted at the Colorado Convention Center, last year topped 101,000 attendees which was quadruple their first year’s attendance when they launched in 2012. And the Official after party hosted at the Denver Hard Rock Cafe, presented by Sonicboombox and sponsored by Tentacle Kitty has already sold out!

Here’s a peek from last year’s (2015) convention floor:

Comic book pioneer Stan Lee; Game of Thrones Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey); fantasy fiction writer Terry Brooks (Shannara series); and Star War’s droid BB-8, designed by Boulder, Colorado tech & robotics company Sphero will all be among this year’s special guests.

Conan the Beerbarian…

Comics and beer (aka man water) rule planet Colorado. So it should be no surprise that since its 2012 debut, Breckenridge Brewery has worked in collaboration with Denver Comic Con to brew and sell a specialty themed beer with the name chosen through a fan contest.

2012 was ‘The Fantastic Pour’

2013 was ‘The Caped Brewsader’

2014 was ‘Brews Wayne’

2015 was ‘Hulk’s Mash’

and the 2016 selection is ‘Snape-pricot’ as a tribute to the legendary Alan Rickman (RIP), who played the role of Professor Severus Snape in all 8 Harry Potter films.

Be a superhero for your community.

Thanks to your support, this year’s event is sure to be another epic success. But a limited amount of tickets still remain. So buy your tickets ASAP as Denver Comic Con is just T-30 days away.

And if you need more incentive, feel good knowing that your Denver Comic Con ticket purchase supports the kids of Pop Culture Classroom and programs like LEAD With Comics, a workshop for incarcerated adults, helping to improve their literacy and art skills using comics and graphic novels: http://ow.ly/93zo300b6gh
